Default Use 5 8V batts instead of 6 6V batteries

To accommodate an Accessory 12V battery under the seat rather than in the bag well? Will the 40V put any strain on components rated for 36V. The stock 36V charger should be capable of fully charging the batteries? Do the batteries have the same footprint? Run time will be affected/reduced. Thinking ahead to when I need to replace batteries.

not as good idea.....the motor would be fine, but the controller is where you have the problem, AND your charger as well. if you are going to use a aux. battery, get a 12v and you would need a 12v charger and charge it separately.

There is room under the seat for a 12v aux battery.

No, a 36v charger will not fully charge a 40v pack.
