Should i limit the amps or keep it at 100 percent on the stock motor?

The stock pds motor is a strong motor and can 500-600 amps with mo problems

Good deal then. Didnt know if 500 was to much to let it have or not.

Im planning on replacing the motor bearing also while i got it tore apart its a little noisy

Ok i checked the ohms of the motor and from a1-a2 i have 0.1

From f1-f2 i have 1.2 ohms.

It sounds like its shorted out on the a1-a2 leads? Am i thinking right?

Possible, but i never check for an actual reading, all you care about is continuity or in other words, a connection, each motor is going to be different so there isn't a magic ohm reading, you're simply checking to make sure it had a reading. If you put your meter leads on the studs and the meter changes to indicate a connection then you have continuity, if there is no change and it acts like the leads of the meter aren't touching then there is a broken wire and no continuity. Make sure you have your motor completely disconnected from the control at the motor when doing the continuity test or the connections internal to the controller will fool you.

So you should have continuity between a1-a2 and s1-s2, but NOT from either a1 or a2 terminal to either s1 or s2 terminal and not from either a or s terminal to the case of the motor.

Thats correct. A1-a2 i have .1 ohms, btw when i put my meter leads together i get.0 so its safe to say theres continuity.

Also f1-f2 there is 1.1 so theres continuity there too.

I also checked all four to each other and to the case and i DIDNOT have any continuity between any other points.

I read on a sepex motor the field would be higher ohms than the armature brushes so i think the motor is ok.

Agreed, you can be sure by wiring it like i showed you for sepex, connect it to a 12 v battery or charger and if it runs and spins the tires while on stands then the motor is good, i have a manual battery charger with a 50 amp charger setting, i wire the motor together, connect the leads of the charger then plug it into ac.

I looked at ur diagram but already had the motor in the floor. Imma put the bearing in it and put it back together then ill test it. Just backwards huh lol. I mean it worked and soon as i turned it back on pow the controller blew out. Idk if thats normal or what
