Default 98 ezgo steering pinion HELP!!

Hey guys I got the rebuild kit for my steering rack and got it all apart. When I opened it up my pinion has a huge amount of play so I gotta replace but it seems like its frozen in there I cant get it out. Anyone have a idea of how to get it out. Am I missing something ive looked at the diagram and there dosent seem to be a clip. Ive tried everything it seems.Need help please

Should I try some kind of bearing puller? Shoud it be this hard to get out anyone?

There is a retainer clip that holds it in place where you disconnected the steering column, once you remove that it should come apart.

Ive downloaded it and looked it over countless times. Hmmm I guess someone must have taken it apart before cause there was no retainer clip either. This whole thing has me scratching my head. Gonna get a slide hammer tomarrow and see if that works

If the rubber lip seal is still in there, it must come out first. The snap-ring is behind the seal. Otherwise, there should be no more resistance than some wiggling would overcome.

This is where im at now . Someone must have taken it apart before cause there wasn't any snap ring when I disassembled. My brothers gonna bring over a slide hammer and some pullers tomorrow so hopefully it'll work.

I agree with ScottB. I see a snap ring. It's not the typical type with the ears & two holes that you use snap ring pliers on. This type, use small screwdrivers or picks to pry it out.
