It would keep the lights on when the hill brake was put on. I like the horn button through a hole idea. It is simple and the switches are very cheap if they go bad!

I think that would depend upon how it was wired.

I can get into looking for a toggle to blow the horn. But if I need the brakes, I mean need the brakes. I don't want to have fumble, to any degree, if making sure others know I have applied them is of any concern.

Well I will probably wire up a switch like mentioned above.
I have 2 or 3 of those handy
Didnt think about them till I ask this question.
I will simply put a toggle switch near the shifter or something to cut power when parked. This things wireing is starting to look like a 747 anyway.

the link to G mans brake write up is the way to go, thats what I did and with the "brake relay" to shut off brakes when park brake is on, works great , brake relay:http://www.ebay.com/itm/160823521583
or you can do the hillbilly way your choice

You won't need the toggle switch if your parked with the brake on. The lights will only come on if you're on the switch. And what the hell do you mean by "the hillbilly way"?
