Default Speed Controller

Hey gents if i upgrade my speed controller and my battery gauge wire but do not change the motor will I see any more torque or speed for that matter..
93 marathon looks like original motor. No lift.

93 Marathon is a series drive cart. Upgrade the controller allows the motor to draw more amperage = more torque.
Upgrade the voltage and gain speed.
