Re: Speed chip not working ?
The 4 beeps tell you it has the freedom chip installed. Drive it like that and see if it beeps any more. If it does, count the number of times it beeps as that will be a fault code.

Re: Speed chip not working ?
I turned the cart off and removed the freedom chip, turned on run and toggled the switch from R to N and only 1 beep. I ran the cart and it runs the same with chip out. Turned cart off and replaced the chip. Turned on run and toggled R to N and it beeped 4 times so it recognized the speed chip. Ran cart again and no change in speed and no other beeps .

Re: Speed chip not working ?
Tested both loops with my ohm meter and all is good. Looked at connectors, looked good on both male and female ends. looked at wiring diagram and all is correct. GREMLINS ???????????????

Re: Speed chip not working ?
Check the throttle too - maybe the pedal isn't going all the way down,
or maybe the ITS is out of position or not working right. Also, did you make any changes recently? Change tires, batteries, add a rear seat? |

Re: Speed chip not working ?
No changes have been made. I have had the cart for 4 years. I will pull the cover under the floor mat and check the wiring and the ITS. Thanks

Re: Speed chip not working ?
Also check that you don't have a brake dragging,
or some other mechanical issue causing a wheel to bind. |

Re: Speed chip not working ?
I checked the inductive pick up and the adjustment on the pedal and all ok. The cart rolls good when you release the brakes and just push it in the tow mode so I dont think it is a brake issue. I have noticed a faint clicking noise when you release the throttle and the cart is still rolling. When you press the throttle it goes away. It comes back when you release the throttle. It sounds louder at low speeds ??????
