Angry 1990 cc no spark

I have a 1990 gas club car ds with the flathead motor. I have no spark if the kill wire is connected. If the whit/ black kill wire is not connected i have great spark and the engine wont shut down until i disconnect the spark pluge wire from the spark plug. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?

Check your micro switches. Sometimes they will stick closed. If you put it in neutral or turn off the key will it kill spark. That black wire just grounds the coil killing your spark when you let off the gas or turn the key off.

Micro switches are brand new. Letting off the gas or turning off the key will not kill spark

Here's your wiring diagram for that cart. You said that every single micro switch is brand new? The one in question here would be the Accelerator Kill Limit Switch. It is one of the two micro switches located inside the black plastic box down near the battery.

Can you also kill the motor by re-connecting the white/black wire?

If you have an ohm meter set it to beep when connected. You can connect one lead to the frame ground and put the other lead to the kill wire. It should start beeping or show ohms. Start moving and shaking the wire to see if the beeping starts. It could have worn the insulation off and grounded itself somewhere. Hope this makes since to you. The kill wire is just a ground connection.

Are the micro switches inside the black plastic box brand new? I'm not talking about the micro switches on the back of the shifter. I still think it's that accelerator kill limit switch stuck closed.
