How to access gas pedal micro switch 2008 gas precedent
Hi I am new to forum and hope someone can lead me in right direction. I have a 2008 gas precedent that will not turn over when gas pedal is pressed. I removed the two low voltage wires from the solenoid and jumped them from battery and the solenoid engaged and motor turned over , so have narrowed down problem somewhere between gas pedal and ignition switch.
Never having worked on these carts before , I just am not sure what I have to remove to get at gas pedal switch , and how to go about it. Hope someone has had this problem and can direct me thru the access procedure Thanks John |

The micro swithes are right next to the solinoid in the black box if it is pedal start, if key start, there are none.

(And... pedal start has 2 micro's, key start has 1 micro!) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First off, make sure that when your trying to start it, that the shifter is in Forward or Reverse. (it won't turn over in Neutral!) If it still doesn't turn over? read on... The microswitches on Precedents, are in the GCOR, (it's a sealed unit, so IF it's bad, you'll need to replace it.) To access the GCOR, you need to peel back the rubber floor mat, and you'll see an access panel at the pedal group, remove that cover, and you should be able to see the GCOR attached at the base of the GO pedal. I've never replaced one, but from what I've read, they rarely go bad, and it'll take some patience to get it out! By the way... Welcome to BGW Softtailgolf! |
