Default Is the Key Switch on a Yamaha G29 Just That - A switch?

Hi Guys,
Like many things on my project G29, lots of things have been cut off the wiring harness. The key switch is one. It currently has a key switch (not a OEM G29 switch) with two wires. It seems to work just fine but I was thinking of removing the wire nuts currently on it and put a G22 key switch and clean it up with spade connectors. This way I do not have to source another crazy connector for the G29 key switch assembly. Any issue doing this? Does the G29 assembly send anything else back to the controller or is it just a switch.

If your wire harness has only 2 wires to the key switch, then yes, it's just "on-off". Many yamahas with lights from the factory had 4 wires.

Great. I'll clean it up then with a Yamaha G22 key switch. No lights at the moment and just two wires. Once it get it running then will add accessories. Just ordered a new controller.
