Yes, longer coil over shocks will lift the rear. You can check my Geep1 build for ideas on the front. Link in my signature.

Lift plans that I found somewhere on the Web. Thank you to whoever posted them- I forget where I found them. The dimensions for the rear shock brackets on the last page are off- do not use them. See the details of my lift in the bigblock section here:

Page 5 has a link to how Newbylee did his rear shocks- a better way of doing it.

The drawings provided earlier in the post are great, if I only had a G1....does anyone know if there are similar dwgs out there for G9, or are they by any chance, the same?
Thanks.

I came across this at the Harbor Freight web site today. It looks a lot the a rear shock extender for a g1. Couple of cuts...Couple of holes...Hmmm, I wonder.

I have one of these adapters from Harbor Freight, so I checked the measurements. ID of the large section and OD of the small section is 1 5/8". You need pipe with an ID/OD of 1 1/4 to fit the shocks and shock brackets without modifications. The hitch adapter is too big to work properly. Too bad, it is a great idea.
