Default How to soften the ride on my G16?

I have a G16 with stock shocks and rides like a freight train. What is the best way to make it ride smoother? I was thinking about replacing the shocks, but the stock ones are $$$. Has anyone found a cheaper alternative? Car shocks? Any recomendations on how to make it ride smoother?

That puzzles me, G16's were known to be the softest (almost to soft) ride in the market. Can you take pic's of the shocks?

If the shocks are stock, maybe they are seized up (corrosion/moisture). Pictures are usually helpful here!

What air pressure do the tires have?? Running a lower pressure in the tires would be the cheapest and easiest fix, if the pressure is currently at an excessively high number.

I'll try to take some pictures later today. My cart is 100% stock. I am thinking about lifting it, but want to take care of the minor issues first. It almost feels like there is metal rubbing against metal. Are there some bushings that could have worn out? The tire pressure is normal, or possibly on the low side.

Stock tires ride very hard, There was an enormous change in ride quality when I put the lift and Carlisle 489 tires on mine!
