Trying to split case on G1
So I am trying to finish splitting the case on a friend's G1, it needs new bearings. The engine was basically seized, at first it was thought that it was the piston as it had sat, but we pulled the cylinder head and it was fine. I have the thing about a half inch apart and it will not budge. Is there anything that I am missing as far as clips and such. I am starting with the fan side and have not yet pulled the clutch. I have removed all the screws from the housing.

Main crank bearings are pressed into the housings and pressed on the crankshaft. There are no clips holding the crankcase halves together, just the screws. The bearings may stay on the crank or in the housings as it is pressed apart. If you have the crankcase halves spread apart 1/2" you must be almost there. Here is a link to how one member did his:
