Workhorse spare battery placement
I started a thread in the General BS section on the changes I made to my workhorse over the past year, but I thought I'd post this here.
I wanted a spare battery for my winch and the cigarette lighter plugs I added for an additional power supply. I ended up mounting mine under the back bed. There was a small lip to the frame where it could sit so I bolted it there, plus bolted it on the side near the top. I then used plumbers strap to hold the front of the battery box up, attaching the strap to the frame on either side of the battery box. The battery box was just used for storage, so I had a piece of baling wire under the front of the box just for some support. After I went to a battery I decided to add the plumbers strap for extra support. |
