Default ezgo rear end oil

Hi ,frist time user, I have 85 ezgo what kind of oil goes in the rear end. Is it 80w90

I have a 79 marathon gasser and was told to put 30 weight motor oil in the rearend.

1fast67, The manual for the 79 calls for RPM Delco Multiservice 200 - 30. That is so obsolete that I cannot find any reference to it.
There always seems to be some confusion as there are two separate standards for gear oil and engine oil. In reality 30 weight motor oil has the same viscosity as 70 weight gear oil so as Rib says it make no difference. Personally I use 70 - 80 gear oil as it has better shear qualities.
