Re: obc question?
can you take one end off cable to get it thur and than reconnect the end? if not it wouldn,t hurt to go to a smaller cable but your gonna have to put cable thur than put end on.......they had to bypass the relay in charger so open charger and look at the circuit breaker and the black relay........if the transformer wire the white or tan one is connected to the circuit breaker than yes its bypassed........it has to be......................................

Re: obc question?
I thought this might be the case. OBC went bad ?? What damage could occur from this? I am changing to a 72/48 volt system with onboard charger as soon as all my parts arrive. When I rewire the system will the OBC still be used or is this primarily for the powerdrive charger? I don't mind buying a new computer but would hate to if I will not need it. When I take it apart again I am making sure it will be 100% complete when it goes back together. Trying to plan everything ahead to minimize downtime, no patience. thanks

Re: obc question?
by the way, no, the cable will not fit through hole. I'm using is a 2/o marine grade d.c. cable, which has a thicker insulation. This allows a higher ampacity rating and better heat dissipation. It looks so good that I'd hate to put one smaller wire.

Re: obc question?
Would I be better off going with this contactor for a 36/72 volt system? I am possibly going to go with a emp motor since pq has not returned any of my calls in a few days so I am wondering if I could install three of these and this would take care of speed, voltage, and f/r switching, I think. Would this work okay? I would rather have three rocker switches mounted in dash than three f/r switches. thanks
