The drive belt runs from front to back. The plug is on top, angled toward the drivers side tire. Looking at engine from front to back the plug would be positioned at about 1 o'clock. Sucks i didn't take engine pics. The cart is not in my home garage and not going to the other garage til Sunday.

Its' a 3pg-engine. They used them from 1988-1991.

I think i may have figured it out. I thing the float was hanging open and filling the engine with gas. The engine had a lot of fuel in it. I got the fuel out, took carb apart and cleaned it good, another new plug, and replaced the safety switch on the gas pedal. Seems to be running good now. I hope it is fixed since its loaded in the trailer to take on my camping trip. I also added an in line fuel shut off to play it safe while the cart is not in use. Figured it cant flow fuel without the fuel pump going but i just felt better putting it there.
