Default G1 crank case gasket

I have a g1 I bought it in pieces, does it take a crank case gasket or do I just use yamaha bond? Thanks

If you have the motor tore down order a top end gasket kit and replace them all. Any of the cart shops should have it, I like Plowmans on the sponsors page

No gasket, just use Yamabond

Thanks I'm new to all of this, how about the ring gap? I ordered the top end kit and I'm getting .042 on the ring gap. I don't have the old rings but I have the old piston and its the same size

Ring end gap should be Minimum...0.20mm (0.0079in), Max....0.40mm (0.0167 in).
