G1 carb adjust

Hello, what is settings for the air, n, fuel screwturns? Is it all the way in, and then 1 1/2 turns out for both screws? Or 2 1/2? Thanks, its for a 81 g1.

The adjustment setting on the air mixture screw is 1 1/2 turns out after lightly seated, but the point must not have a "flat spot" or it is damaged. The only other "outside" carb setting is the throttle stop screw, it it should be turned out till the throttle shaft is completly closed, then turned in 1/4 turn.

thanks for the reply, theres 3 screws, 1 thats sideways, and the other is like flat looking the air, and the throttle stop screw, the needle looks good, no flat spot, my carb is only about 11 months old, i think it needs cleaned , its like kind of starving for fuel, i just put a new fuel pump, filter, new fuel line in tank,all lines are new, it started to run kind of bad like just one day, thanks.

i was told the adjustment was for idle mixture, after that the larger jet opens. So is the adjustment really needed since these don't idle?

The one "looking up in the air" is the pilot jet. It is not adjustable.

thanks for the reply, your right, im still digging in this carb thing, the screw has a breather hole in it, so it would not be adjustible, so the only one to adjust is the side one with the spring,needle screw, thanks alot.everybody.
