Club Car 6 8volts upgrade to 4 12volts?
I will soon be buying new batteries for my 2000.5 DS and I have seen that the newer clubs have 4 12 volt batteries instead of 6 8 volts. I haven't looked into the cost of 12 volts yet but I was wondering if I could use 4 12 volts in my cart and if I would see any performance increase or decrease. Any thoughts?

No, you won't see any performance increase. 6 eight volt batteries may have more run time, I'm not sure.

stick with six- 8 volts ,there is no advantage of going with 4 12's other than they are a little lighter .
+ your computer and charger are tuned too charge 6 -8 volts to get the most effiecincy out of your batteries. |
