97 gas club car
I have a new problem. After buying and installing a new carb because the throttle plate was broken. It ran great for about 33 hrs (I have an hour meter). Then it started smoking and died. After sitting awhile it will start right up and run for about 5-7 min. Then smoke a little and die like its flooded. Checked carb float seems fine. Could it be an over heated coil or something. Ready to pull my hair out. Thanks

Next time it dies try checking it for spark. I'm guessing you will have no spark when it is dead and if that is the case than you are on the right track in terms of suspecting the ignition system is the culprit.

Ok checked for spark when it died. It had good spark. Did I mention just before it dies it starts to smoke really bad. Could it be the choke it stuck? I'm at a loss.

Re: 97 gas club car
A new friend suggested that maybe the gaskets around the carb could be leaking once it gets hot. Since I stupidly didn't put all new gaskets on when I installed new carb. Sounds like it could be it. Ordered new gaskets. I will post new results. Any thoughts, anyone?

Re: 97 gas club car
Put new gaskets in. No change, after it warmed up started smoking real bad. Looked like some gas in the oil, so I changed oil and filter. Seems fixed. Sound logical to anyone? Thanks
