Re: Club car pioneer 1200 gas
Do solenoids still click if you put both small posts to a battery? None of the ones I've bought do and the old one doesn't either.

Re: Club car pioneer 1200 gas
If you put 12 volts on the small terminals the relay should click and close

Re: Club car pioneer 1200 gas
So, I might be getting bad one after bad one then. I've tried 3 different ones from autozone so far, none on them make a click.

Re: Club car pioneer 1200 gas
Are they a continuous duty relay? Golf carts use a different solenoid than like a lawn mower.

Not sure, I'll order another club car specific one online. The last one only lasted 3 weeks.

Re: Club car pioneer 1200 gas
Ok, so update. Another new solenoid, club car, this one clicks, getting power to exact same spots, power cable big post, little posts only when key is turned to start, it still does not start the starter, I cross it and it starts and keeps running until I turn the key off.
There's a giant diode box 3 inches plus square under the seat, one thick red, one thick white wire, but I can find one online anywhere that looks the same. Any way to bypass this to check it? All fuses are good btw. |

Re: Club car pioneer 1200 gas
Just to clarify, solenoid clicks when hooking up both small terminals to a battery. Nothing while in the cart.

Re: Club car pioneer 1200 gas
Still no luck on getting it going again. New voltage regulator, just because it's between starter and solenoid, and no change.
Let me recap for everyone New club car solenoid New voltage regulator These start with the key, not the pedal I get power to the large terminal with key off I get power to both small terminals with key turned to start, no click, nothing, but it clicks on a battery both small terminals I cross both large terminals, or starts right up and stays running until I turn the key off. Battery tested good, sitting at 12.7 volts Can't find any broken wires. At this point I want to put a large button switch between the large solenoid terminals and say heck with it. Is it safe to do that? Any other ideas? |

Re: Club car pioneer 1200 gas
Fixed
Completely rewired it from the ignition to the starter and everywhere in between. |
