Default What do I do now?

I bought a 1986 Club Car DS that was a 36v cart that has had all of the electrical components removed including fried motor that previous owner was going to convert to gas powered but lost interest! What do I do now? Thoughts??

Do like simicrintz suggested. All of the information you need will be found on this forum. Do it one step at a time. It can look just like simicrintz's if you have the patience and $$$.

I'm not sure what the previous owner did so far, but you do not want to go gas powered. Either plan to put a lot of work and $ into it, or unload it the way it is. People are always looking for rolling chassis to modify.

For an 86 pull the motor and determine how many teeth are on the motor shaft. If it is 10 you are good to go. If it is 16 start hunting around for a newer differential. Then -
Figure out 2 things.
How and where you want to use it.
And set a budget going in.
Often times the budget will determine the voltage and the type of drive system you can use.

We have the same cart; I've attached a couple of before and after pics......

Couple of tips: do not set a budget (takes all the fun out of it ) and use Site Sponsors (do not use the "big names" that pop up in your searches!).

Have fun-you have a great cart to start with

Only thing previous owner did was turn rear axle around 180° to have room for gas motor, thankfully that was it! Cart is in really good shape and it was all there except everything electrical! Now the fun begins!
