Default Drive Gas Cart NO POWER

Have a Gas Drive cart came into the shop with a sluggish performance.

Installed new belt and cleaned the carb and new air filter (both)

When you press the gas it flys like its gonna really get some speed and then flattens out.

Noticed that the primary clutch looks like its not aligned with the secondary??

Also ate into new belt some. Are you suppose to be able to move the primary in and out by hand?

Is there any motor adjustment to align or measurements of the distance between them?

What year/model?

Yes the primary should slide in and out. It may have thrown a weight.

No motor adjustment.

"Also ate into new belt some" ... Take belt off and check the back sleeve on the rear driven clutch and make sure there is not a hole worn through it...this happens when dirt is not cleaned out and wears through clutch in rear and can also cause what you describe...
