Default extended top/roof

I was thinking about making an extended roof for my cart and wondered if anyone had done it? What have people used ie. fiberglass, plastic, wood, sheet metal. I just cant see paying 300+ dollars then another 200 for shipping. I have no dealers around me anywhere so online ordering is what I am limited to. Any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I used a convertable top material. himed the edge and put some 1/4 eyelets in it attached it with 1/4 nylon rope. keeps rain and sun off my bald head
I know its not extended but you could make a frame and stretch fabric over it the same. not a good pic. about $25 in top

I used a jeep bikini top and the windshield top rail for the bikini top. I needed to extend it to cover my whole rollcage so I found a toneu cover at a garage sale and cut the middle of the bikini top and sewed in a 2 foot piece of the toneau cover. I was looking for a way to build a custom hard top.

Strech Plastics makes these long tops in various lengths.... you can't beat them for the looks and function. Here are a couple of my 4 seaters with the 80" top on em ...
