Default Any luck programming the new RXV Curtis controller via Software

I have the updated Curtis controller for my RXV and it has the freedom unlock. Since the dealers are being rather douche'y about helping out with it, I was wondering if anyone has had luck programming their RXV's with the Curtis 1314-4401 software and a serial cable? I just want to tweak the acceleration and speed if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Some people have had success, most have not. For $30 you can rent the handheld programmer that the dealers use here:

Good Luck!

Thanks, I have seen that, but they don't carry the adapter to fit the RXV so I thought I would see if anyone has been successful with the RXV and the software.

We are going to buy the RXV specific unit #83A21150A for $899, not sure what level programming we will get.
Sold at FSIP -http://www.fsip.biz/ They said the 1314 will not talk to the controller.
They are the Curtis authorized rebuilders.

To answer the question with pics/proof, yes it can. Gives me no trouble at all.

Sorry to dig up an old post but does the 1311-4401 programmer work fine for the RXV with Curtis controller? I have a 2009 RXV but have a new Curtis Freedom controller in it. Was thinking about renting the programmer in the above link, but wasn't sure if I needed the 1313-4401:

Also is the small round plug they also rent the correct one for this controller?

Many thanks!

FSIP does also sell adapters for the standard 4 pin Molex connector to RXV to make the existing handsets work.

1314 does indeed communicate with the 1206AC. But does not work with the 123X series controls, which require a newer version of 1314 and serial adapter.

I build my own Curtis to E-Z-GO adapters, here is the post.

I also make my own programmer cables.

You may want to read the whole thread to get an education on programming Curtis controllers.
