RXV "Free" Lift
I've read about people lifting their RXV slightly by moving the front struts to the lower set of holes in the upper mounts, and longer shackles in the rear. I want to do this to get a bit more breakover clearance.
I took the plastic bumper thing off and messed around with it the other night, but I can't get the upper strut mount bolts into the lower holes. It looks like it should work, but the outer lower control arm pivot binds somehow before it moves enough to allow the holes to line up. What am I doing wrong? |

Re: RXV "Free" Lift
I have seen this second set of holes (which are not present on all rxvs), and thought of trying this as well. I have never tried it yet, but, If the a-arm is binding, i guess the free lift kit doesnt work after all.... I dont think you can possibly "do it wrong".

I tried that. The lower control arm doesn't articulate enough to use those holes.
