Ignition Switch Retaining nut size/replacement
When I replaced the dash assembly, I found the ignition switch retaining nut was missing. Really do not want to replace the entire switch just for the nut.
I tried electrical box connector nut and a plumbing nut, found very close size but threads are too corse. If I had to guess, I would say it is a 3/4" fine thread, but could also be metric or something all together different Any sources, suggestions, or workarounds? |

Re: Ignition Switch Retaining nut size/replacement
My parts list in my manual for a 92 CC DS does not list the retaining nut size. Just lists switch key.
Here is a link to a sticky thread where you can get a manual: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-c...rs-manual.html Maybe manuals other than a 92 DS will give the size for the retaining nut If not I'm sure someone will be along before too long that might be able to tell you the size you need... |

Re: Ignition Switch Retaining nut size/replacement
If you have a tap/die kit, they come with a gauge to determine thread pitch. Then just have to measure size. Being that it is a club car, I would have to guess it's probably SAE and not metric, everything else seems to be.
Maybe take the switch into ace or fastenal and try hardware until you find a nut that fits? My tractor supply has a pretty decent selection as well. |

Type in nut 1012505 on EBay search and it is the first choice. $8.95. Worked great on my cart.
