S/G belt issue
I have a 92 DS. I recently replaced the S/G with a genuine Club Car replacement. It appears they have changed the design since the original, in that there is a battery connection post on the bottom now. The issue is when I reuse the stock belt, it’s not long enough and the post rests against the motor, which will clearly cause a short. I took the belt to an auto parts store and purchased one a smidge longer. This one slips constantly. I understand that the belts designed for my cart are narrower, allowing it to seat deeper in the pulley. How do I go about finding a belt that works?

Re: S/G belt issue
Which post is on the bottom? That doesn’t seem right, although I think the ones for the newer motors have one post that is oriented more towards the front of the cart than the older ones. Maybe they sold you one for the Subaru or Kohler motor?
Either way, get in touch with David at Revolution golf cars and see if he has a belt that will work and fit properly. I think the ones they use on the newer motors are longer and will fit in the pulley properly. |
