************UPDATE*************

I finally figured out what was wrong with my cart and boy do I feel really stupid.. When I rebuilt the top end, I laid every thing out on the workbench to assemble it just like the old parts came off the cart. I had the rings and piston facing the right direction in conjunction with the cylinder. As you know, you have to turn the cylinder upside down to slide the piston in since the bottom of the cylinder is tapered. Well...when I turned my cylinder upside down, I didn't rotate the piston too, so the intake side of the piston went in facing the exhaust port when it was assembled. I didn't notice it until I shined a light into the exhaust port and saw that the openings in the piston were facing the wrong direction. I was thrilled since I about knew that was why it wouldn't start... Anyways...20 minutes later I was driving it and it runs super great with the new top end... Thanks for all the help... Now I can proceed to the bodywork..

Default Re: 86 G1 Crank Seals Question???

The important thing is that your cart runs........Can I make fun of you now?
Honestly, I've done some things like that before too.We all learned the other thing that could be wrong..I never would have thought of that one.
