Removing driven pulley question
I'm trying to install a new spring in the drive pulley but having problems.
I rolled the belt off and took the center bolt out and the pulley won't move. Sprayed it with PB blaster and put a 3 jaw puller on it........ it won't move I got he torch out and heated it to the point I thought was as much as it could stand and then hit the puller on the end with the hammer. it won't move I'm going to let it soak overnite while I medicate myself Any sugestions? |

Re: Removing driven pulley question
Are you working on the drive pulley or the driven pulley. Your post mentions both.
If it's the drive pulley you will need a special tool that you can buy or make. Clem |

Re: Removing driven pulley question
Sorry for the misprint. I was already self medicating at that point. It's the driven pulley I'm fighting with. I'm trying to put in a "power spring" from one of the site sponsors. Tomorow it's coming off, one way of the other

Re: Removing driven pulley question
I sometimes struggle with that myself!! I sometimes use a tire rod fork, and carefully beat it between the diff and the clutch. I say carefully because I can only imagine the side of the diff cracking, or the seal tearing!! Thats just another idea.
