Got this today..for 140 bucks
I actually bought it through a friend of mine, sight unseen for 100,
he was at a job, and the guy wanted 100 for it.. It sounded like a 1200 but it isn't, but I don't care..still a good deal for the parts..although it's in better shape than mine. When I got to the guys house, I could tell he was just dumping his projects for Christmas money, so I gave him the 2 twenty's I had in my pocket. He said it had a broken rod, but so far, I don't think there is any internal stuff wrong..it turns over like it has comp on both..and smooth, so it is likely something simple..maybe.. or it could in fact have dropped a piston. So, its merry Christmas csason.. |

Lol..I already did... last night after my friend called me and I told him
To give the guy the c note... It looks like its been in a phosphate pit for most of its life..or some concrete plant.. Some of the metal is corroded.. but not enough to turn my nose up. |

Looks good! Make sure you take the time to completely tear it apart, clean check and lube everything ASAP, though - my buddy bought a CC from a local batch plant / block company and it was absolutely UNBELIEVEABLE where that concrete dust managed to hide its' abrasive little particles !!!

Re: Got this today..for 140 bucks
Ok, here is what I did...
I had my pretty much totally worn out 98 800 g with a rebuilt by me motor that probably has a few more hours left in it.. and this cart, which literally had mud caked and formed inside the electronics cover 4 inches deep. The engine had something in the timing or possibly cam related that prevented it from easy start up, and I gave it a quick try and the compression was way wrong, like a piston skirt had broken.. I got spark but not enough compression to start the old beast, so I swapped motors. This frame is good, but all the joints are in need of attention, as in bushings, etc. The driven clutch has a bad wobble..causes a vibration in the whole cart. I think it is the actual shaft that is bent..how it happened I don't want to know. I may have to swap rear ends. Anyway, the body had the lights, the turn signal kit hook ups, the brake lights, and nifty new cowling look..with the brush guard. I paid less for the cart than I would have for a brush guard, so I consider this my Christmas present.. I will upload some better pics soon.. It has wheel covers, but it needs some tires and a little lift, so while I am swapping the rear, I think would be a good time to lift it... ;) |
