I'm not happy about the extra work they did but with my temper it's better for me to do battle on bigger hills

The first thing you need to do is determine what model cart you own.
4 stroke can be anywhere from a G2 on up and they have some different troubleshooting procedures.
Plus you really should know what you own.
Look in the stickies to find where the info tag is.

So, you got it back and all was good, right?

Sounds to me, that your battery has passed its usefull life or the gen/starter has issues.

Being in the "customer service" business, we fix the issues that are brought before us.

I'm guessing, but you didn't ask them to do, and pay for, an analysis of the condition of your cart.
