soft sand
Got an '88 gas marathon, just wondering how big wheel/tyre combo i can put on it for driving on soft sand before I need lifted springs etc. help please. Thanks.

You can put a 20 inch tall tire on it before you have clearance issues. 18 is stock.

There are plenty of tires that will give you all of the traction you need for soft sand in the 18" and 20" sizes. One example of one we find works great for you application:

If you are running only sand you can get paddles in 18"
