Default G21a has been sitting for a couple years, fuel delivery problems

Hello, I am new here and have just purchased a Yamaha G21a gas cart. the battery was dead, replaced it, the gas was old, replaced it along with the fuel filter and cleaned the old lines leading to the carburateur, the spark plug gapped and looked just fine, the oil was at its proper level, but still no action when I engage the throttle, it spins from battery power, but it is not getting fuel through the filter, it is not pulsing like it should, any help on what steps I should take next would be much appreciated, I will have pictures up shortly!!!

Thank you, as soon as the sun gets behind the house I will do just that, I am pretty sure it is gummed up pretty bad from the old gasoline...I'll keep everybody posted on the progress

I do and recommend doing this anytime the cart will sit for any period of time...It funny My shop is for all power equipment, I.E Golf Cars, Chain saws, Commercial Mowers and the ethanol issues are a constant when it comes to carbs...

Its funny, the manual says clearly to NOT use gasoline with Ethanol in it, but I can't find gasoline that doesn't have it in it.

Try pressurizing the fuel tank, I had the same thing happen to me on my G14 the fuel pump wouldn't draw the fuel with dry lines. Worked fine after pressurizing the tank with a rag around my air nozzle and watching the fuel filter fill with gas.

Thanks acelynn, I will try that first before messing with the carb, but I have a feeling that I am going to have to do it anyway...

Also check the vacuum line from the pump the the engine case. Blow through it from the pump side to make sure its clear and clamped on both ends!!!!!!!!!
You can also take something and fill the filter up for the first time that might help.
