Judging from Xtreme Cartz's experience with going from electric to gas, you're better off buying a gasser.
And the link won't work for me either. |

That would be the type of rear end you need. An ez-go 4 stroke rear end. Its alot easier if you have a donor cart. If you had a donor cart then why would you have to convert in the first place. In your case it woud be good because you want to build a limo.
BTW. I fixed the link. |

Re: convert a 01 ez-go 6 seater to gas
Link no worky for me either. It's not a difficult conversion at all but it takes a lot of time, work and money. You will need to first gut all the electronics. Put a gasser pedal box in. Buy new f/r cables and acc cable and shifter assy. Install gas rear end with a secondary clutch. Find a gas tank, small boat tanks work well. Then, call Frank at Alpha Carts, or Tom at CPP, and get yourself hooked up with a sweet big block vtwin engine kit. And of course you cant leave out all the goodies like lift kit, BIG tires and all that stuff. It will be an awesome cart but you're going to need $$$$ for it.

Re: convert a 01 ez-go 6 seater to gas
thanks for the replies. i'm probably just going to go with a used gasser just to save time, but i'm still going to use that rear end. i want to put the honda 24hp engine in it, but is that my best option for speed and torque? for the limo cart?

Good luck with it and keep us updated. Yes Honda's are great engines, I don't care what anybody says about them. They really are good.

If it doesn't blow up under normal usage... its a good engine. Doesnt matter what brand, does it work when it is supposed to?? Good, its a great engine then |
