Renegade Golf Carts
I'm shopping for a new cart, came across this new brand at a local dealer. Could not find any info or reviews on it, wondering if anyone here has one and could chime in.
At first glance, it shares allot of similarities with the Club Car Precedent. I'm willing to bet they have some swappable parts. The frame is also alloy and shaped like the Club Car. Lots of other features including 4 wheel disk brakes, coil overs and double a-arm suspension. Also comes with lithium batteries. Test drove it and it rode really smooth. The real shock is the price, dealer is selling them new for $1k more than a used Club Car. I'm seriously considering this or an Adventure EV Advent. |

Look around at after sale service and upgrade parts availability before buying anything other than the big 3. |

Re: Renegade Golf Carts
I did, so far only the 1 local dealer selling will offer service. Aftermarket is slim, but I would probably buy it already loaded. The one I tested had just about everything I would want, lift kit, 4 wheel disc brakes, turn signals, mirrors, lithium battery, sound system extended roof.

Re: Renegade Golf Carts
So I pulled the trigger on this brand new Renegade Scout Golf Cart. I've had it for about a month now and so far its performing very well.
It has a speedo in the dash and shows max speeds of 20-22mph depending on terrain. I will need to verify with GPS, but I can already tell its much faster than my older Club Car Precedent. Most importantly, it holds its speed going up fairly steep hills (My Neighborhood is hilly). It came with sealed AGM batteries, lift kit, brush guard, horn, tow hitch, Ice cooler, rear view mirrors, turn signals, bluetooth speakers, hazard signals and a speed governing switch. It also has phone holders at each seat that hold my iPhone Max perfectly. I'm most impressed with the suspension, its really smooth on gravely roads at full speed. The 4-wheel hydraulic disc brakes are also a huge improvement over the rear drums of the Club Car. I feel confident cruising at max speed and being able to stop on time. The charger is located in the battery bay, so all I have to pull out is a cord to plug in. My only complaint is I feel the engine brake / regen is a bit too aggressive for my driving style. I'm going to check with the dealer to see if they can adjust that. It shares many design features as a Club Car, so I'm eager to find out what accessories I can transfer over. For example, I want to add fender flares to minimize dirt kick up from the front tires. I already added seat covers made for a Club Car. I paid just a bit over the price of a used Club Car, so I definitely think its worth it considering all the features that came with it. Here are some pics, feel free to ask questions about it. Re: Renegade Golf Carts
What controller does it use? It’s located inside that black box on the passsenger side under the seat. Depending the controller you maybe able to tweak the settings, adjust the speed fix the display speed if it’s not correct etc.

According to the documentation I have, a Curtis Programmer is needed. Wonder if anyone near me has one.
