Default 2010 CC Precedent Light Kit - Wiring to aftermarket reducer

So first post here, thanks for any insight upfront. I had been looking around at carts and jumped on a 2010 Precedent and got a steal on it. It came with the light kit, but did not work. I took the body off the cart the other day for paint, and while it was off, decided to see if I could diagnose the light issue. Apparently, there are several wires missing from the original harnesses (ground and positive). Not sure what in the world happened to the cart before i got it.

Now my question is, how would i wire the light kit to an aftermarket reducer (on it's way now)? On the headlight, there is a green and black for left turn signal, and red and black for right turn. the two headlamps are blue and black. am i correct so far? would i just wire the blue and black to the reducer (by way of a dist block and switch) for headlights? I have absolutely no use for turn signals and never will.

Would the tails set up the same way?

then, there is an orange and black pair that connects to nothing. what is this for?

Thanks everyone.

If You are good with electrical circuits, here is all of the information You will need.

There are really not any "universal" color conventions on the aftermarket light kits, but they are all very similar.

The 2010 Precedent does not come from factory with the "bucket harness", which is the harness that goes to the tail lights.

Study the diagrams below and follow the wires on your cart.

This wiring diagram will work for the OEM circuits of your cart:

that may help thanks. to my original question, can the blue and black wires be cut from the harness and tied directly to the aftermarket reducer? same with the tail lights?

Hey Segio - do those drawings also apply to a 2007 Precedent? My cart came with an aftermarket light kit (I think it's a MadJax) and I'm curious about what is currently going to my dash because I'm thinking of adding a voltage reducer, fuse box, horn, etc...but I'd like to have a definitive reference for the existing wiring.

Thanks!

The 2007 Precedent came from factory with the "bucket harness" installed and the connectors will match the ones in the MadJax diagram.

Use this wiring diagram for your 2007 Precedent cart:

THANK YOU!!!

I have another question. The diagram, on the right hand side, states "Change connection with lights but no DC to DC converter". I see that the lights DO connect to the OEM provided spade connection on the + terminal of battery 4 (W61) - does this mean the lights are only getting 36V? If I'm going to hook up a ScottyB LED meter, can I hook it up to the key switch and W40 (this drawing says purple, another drawing I have says it's Blk/Wh) - and get it powered? Is there anything carrying the full 48+ to the dash that would allow me to put the 48v->12v converter and fuse box in the front?
