not sure how much progress I will get this weekend. Power is out from the california storms. We are like priority 5 for getting power restored. I t might be 3 days before I get power again. In the 5 county Sacramento area we had 1600 individual power outages. down to only 580 this morning. Wind guests were in the 70's

I am really getting stoked about driving this cart. The thought of 8" of travel with 22-24 Hp is pretty exciting

got the rear suspension on the cart last night. Put one rear wheel on and then went on the other side.
Remember that cheap set of tires and rims I bought off Ebay? 1 of the rims is not the same offset as the rest! Probably why they were so cheap.
Oh well have to go buy another 8x 10 rim with a 3+5 offset. Shouldn't be more than $30 for a rim.

Started to take off the rear secondary while I had rear wheel off. Have to find my clutch sheave puller that I made last time to pop off the rear sheaves and put in the spacer.

Too many things happening tonight to go out to the garage.

left to do
spacer behind secondary sheave
order a new rim
order drive belt
put on front suspension
finish wiring cart
install spring for throttle lever
install spring for choke lever
hook up choke cable- have to find a way to extend current choke cable
hook up front lights

Don't you just hate it when you can't go out and work on your project? I lay in bed at night and brain storm what I have to do to the cart in the morning.

Sounds like you are getting close

Just a side note, I spent the time and money to hook up my choke, new cable
brackets, springs, got it working perfect. I have not use it in the 2 years the
engine has been in. Don't need it, even in the Ohio cold weather, starts right
up every time, no choke.

I have read that several times here. I might just slap a spring on it to hold it open. Then If I really need the choke I can open the seat and hold the choke open.
The lowest temp I have seen here in 2 years is 28 degrees.

I find myself in conference calls sketching ideas for the golf cart on the back of meeting notes. as long as I remember to speak up at my spot I am ok

had a good night tonight.
got the springs on for the throttle cable and choke cable. Just figured from what Ron said to not put a cable to the choke lever. I can reach under the air cleaner for that morning start up if I need to.

I also got the hankering while I had the sawzall out to whack some air restrictions out of the air cleaner holder.

got the starter circuit wired up.
starter to starter relay, ground to motor, ground to ground terminal, bolted starter relay down

also popped off the rear clutch sheaves and put in the torque spring spacer to replace the snap ring that came off.

down to order rear belt
bolt on front suspension
find a way to hook up stock ignition switch with a start switch or rewire the garden tractor switch.
fill motor with oil
drain old gas and refill
hook up lights
put body back together
hopefully start cart.

If you notice in the current pics I posted of my exhaust, you can see where I
put the choke pull ring back on. When I pulled the swing arm out to repair the
frame cross member, I didn't hook the cable back up. One less thing to do.
