Possum.....playin dead over here in the misc. elec cart section!
WELCOME TO BGW FORUM.
Post any question you may have about this cart in the 'club car electric' section. Much more traffic there.
About your question, from what I understand, CC has taken the part of the charger that reads your batteries and has put it in the obc on the cart. Yes, it can be bypassed but, your charger is not able to work alone. Basically, part of your charger is on the cart. It cannot tell when to come on and shut off so, it will do you no good. It does sound like you may have a obc problem...But first you need to use a volt meter and hydrometer to determine the state of your batteries. Number the batteries #1 thru #6 and list the info as you collect it. Post it ( Club Car Elec.) and the experts here can tell you if the charger is functioning correctly, or not. How long have you let the charger run. The finnishing cycle (4 to 6 amps) can be up to 12 or 16 hours long depending on condition of batteries. Good Luck and post the info when you get it

You can bypass the OBC but you either have to watch the batteries charge so they don't boil or buy a new automatic charger or put a timer on the outlet you use to cut the old charger off.
