i love em....IMHO they are the best carts yamaha makes....now the G14's 16's and so on are all very nice carts and they r still tough but i feel the G1's and G2/G9's were the toughet carts made...and the G2 body takes so getting used to i like it the best out of any yam....

You said it yourself Gary, more durable than E-Z-GOs and they certainly don't have an aluminum frame. You'd think they would have at least tried to keep up with Club Car with the Drive, but I guess not. G1, 2, and 9 models are tough, but look at a G22/ Drive one time... POS. Seriously.

I would like to test drive a G22. I will say that the older Yamaha's are much tougher and ride better, in my opinion, than the newer one's.

The front suspension is absolute crap on G22/Drives. It rides ok, not like the old setup, but is WWWEEEAAAKKK. It takes no impact hardly to bend a control arm and break it off the frame. I've seen that on a G22, and the Drive has the same setup type except on a smaller rec. tube frame. Tru Trak II is the Drives suspension, Tru Trak is the G22s.

ok other than suspension...te G22 was the largest and most powerful stock engine....i dunno about the drive....
