If you're going to run the cart in the winter, you just might want that metal roof to hold the heat in.

A 3rd idea is you could cover the metal roof with the canvas, to make it match the back and look like it's all one piece.

Ooh, good call about the top. I was also thinking about putting wooden side rails like in the back of military duece & 1/2's.

Like this and add the canvas & when it's rolled up you'd see the rails.

Does this mean that items sold for the G9 could still fit? Or did they change the chassis setup as well?

I've seen some cool Taylor Dunn pit carts over the years. Nothing like this though.

Enjoy.

Sorry for the slow reply.

The old Duece and a Half look would be cool too! It wouldn't be that hard to make the side slats out of 1X4s either.

As for the G9s, I have no idea what would fit between the two. May Be post in the Yamaha section with the question?

Well I wasn't planning on painting it until the winter, but I couldn't stand the sight of the ugly orange paint, with even uglier green & yellow stripes any longer. So, I decided to do some rattle can work to hold me off until I take it down to the frame.

OR you could paint it a rusty color, put a winch and boom in the back and build it like "MATTER". Then you could go retrive the broken down carts (like mine) and have a ball in parades and such. I been wanting to build one on that theme for a couple of years.

That would be too cool!! I'd never have thought of that. Would you mind if I stole the idea?

Soory for late reply, yes, either G2 or G9 depending on the donor car Taylor-dunn used.
