2008 precedent wont charge

S/G is charging 17.45 put new regulater and silanoid on still not charging

Drive your cart at mid to full throttle... With a DC volt meter attached to your battery connections, it should read close to 14.3 Volts!
if it does? your battery is shot!.... if it doesn't?... there's a problem elsewhere!

Reply with the voltage your getting at the battery when riding... it'll help us a lot!

12.24 volts isn't near enough! and 17+ volts from the S/G is about right!
There could be a couple of possibilities... You could have wired the new solenoid wrong,
or it might be a good possibility that you got a bad (new) voltage regulator right out of the box! (It's not the first time that I've heard that!)

I'd say double check the wiring on the solenoid, then maybe get another new VR!

got another solenoid and voltage regulater still don't charge and checked wiring on solenoid i'm thinking it wright

Whoa, 17 + volts is not right and it will eat the starter/generator very quickly.
New voltage regulator is the fix. The solenoid has nothing to do with the charge system.
Check the starter at this point and see if the brushes are deep in the holes

Yeah... I stand corrected! the S/G should only put out about 15 volts before the VR!
(I did some reading in my manual this weekend when I was working on my cart!)

Check your battery, after you put it on a charger and charge it up, with a load tester, to make sure it is OK before going further. If you don't have a load tester, bring the battery to any auto parts or battery store, they will check it for free ('cause they really want to sell you another one). Start with the basics before you go on a wild goose chase and start replacing parts.
