Default Re: Converting from pedal start to key start

After I started to clean up the relay setup and looking at the wiring closly I realized I had unhooked the wrong ground wire that kills the motor. Removed the relay and wiring I had put in,unhooked the grey/black wire from the micro switch per lockman1s guide and gave it a try. Worked as supposed to now just having trouble getting motor to idle low enough to keep the clutch from engaging.

I just realized your sig says that you have a 420cc Clone...
(And here I thought you had a KF82 flat head!)

A 200 rpm spring will probably help with your drive belt not engaging at a nominal idle, (IF... you have a stock CC clutch)
But anything after that... (being that I don't know your wiring with the clone) I can't help anymore!

*edit*... I just saw your other thread... http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-c...ne-engine.html

Carry on!

Ya now I'm in the situation where the clutch engages too soon/ motor idles too high so now I have to figure out how to stall the engagement of my clutch. However I cannot remember if I removed the 200 rpm spring when I did the clone motor install or not. I am using a stock club car clutch and like I said that spring maybe in there can't remember I gotta look through my parts box and see if I removed the 200 rpm one or if the stock one is in there. Is the 200 rpm stiffer or softer than the stock? Thinking of stacking washers to make it stiffer, may help.
