adjusting the FNR switch
We have a gas cart down at the farm- If yall remember- relatives could not figure out how to charge batteries so I got a gas cart.
The cart has forward, and its wont go all the way into the forward spot on the selector. when in neutral, it is still in forward when iin reverse it is in neutral?\ I shortened the CABLE, I lengthened the cable and I still got forward and neutral- I began to think, after I got home last night, that I should have loosened the arm that comes off the transaxle and set the FNR knob to Neutral and put the arm to where reverse used to be I hope I making sense this is a club cart and that section is not a visited as this site and you guys have done more stuff than I ever dreamt about |

Re: adjusting the FNR switch
The manual shows the cable adjustment for the neutral position as being 10 mm or 3/8 of an inch of the cable end rod exposed beyond the adjustment nut on both cables. This would be a good starting point. From here make equal adjustments on both cables to compensate for stretch and wear

Re: adjusting the FNR switch
Hey csport... it's good to see you again!
Do yourself a favor... when asking questions about a gas Club Car, ask in the gas Club Car forum, not in the EZ-GO electric forum! (thread moved) Just because the electric EZ-GO forum has more views, doesn't mean we're not nice over here! It's like Apples, and Oranges... they both taste good, but they're completely different! On to answering your shifter question... Disconnect the cable at the F/R lever on top of the transaxle, (slide the retainer back and lift the connector off of the ball) With the cable disconnected, move the F/R lever on top of the transaxle to the center position, (neutral) THEN... check to see that the shifter handle is also in the center (neutral) position, THEN... adjust your cable as needed! IF... the F/R lever on the transaxle has been messed with in the past, see the 2nd pic for that adjustment! Here's the CC directions from the manual: (click to enlarge) FNRcableadjust1.jpg FNRcableadjust2.jpg Hope this helps! |
