All you really need is a Positive lead to the key and then find another terminal that also tests 12V when the key is switched on. Or you can use the continuity test mode on your meter to see which 2 terminals on the back of your switch are connected when you turn the key.

Current key switch diagram is attached in the "on" position.

Then I turn the key "start" I lose power to some of these. None power up in start position. Again, this could and probably was wired incorrectly by the previous owner.

I also purchased a new key switch.

The new switch will turn over the motor, but not sure where the ignitor wire goes. Without it the motor doesn't get spark. I tested the old key switch where the ignitor wire attached and there's not juice coming out of it on the multimeter, but it doesn't work as a ground either? So, I'm not sure how this feeds the ignitor.

Where is the ignitor wire suppose to connect????????????????????????

-old switch doesn't provide juice when turning key
-new switch...not sure about where to hook ignitor wire - #18 & #22 in the pic.

I think i've narrowed this down to a 92-96 Kawi Club Car motor.

Frankencart! aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Never do this!

It's a 2001 EZGO Electric with a Club Car Kawasawki 290. I believe it's a 92-96.

Ok, I have the electrical working as far as I know. Not sure if it's charging the battery yet, but the cart starts and runs.

Next problem. I changed the tractor drive belt to a real drive belt. It's too tight so the cart wont shift into gear. I've remounted the motor as close as I can get it to the transaxel and have a 45" drive belt.

CAN THE TRANSAXEL BE LOOSENED AND ROTATED TOWARDS THE MOTOR ABOUT AN INCH?

Here's an older thread about motor and drive belt - http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-c...what-cart.html

Yeah... I've read both of those threads, but didn't put 2 & 2 together... sorry!

No... you really can't rotate the transaxle, BUT... you can get a longer drive belt!
Call Cart Parts Plus... Tom should be able to hook you up with the drive belt size you need!

Thanks Lockman for all your help. I've ordered a 47.5" belt. That will do the trick. After, once again I remount the motor.

Thanks again!
