89 Club no forward
I've found a 89 Club gas that will go backward but not forward. Its not where I can look at it easily so I thought I'd see if anyone had ran into this before.
Is there a single probable cause for this, or could this be several problems? |

Will it shift into forward and just won't move? Or will it not even shift into gear?

The cart is on C-list and 90 miles away. I haven't seen it just talked to the seller.
My question should have been if a "no forward" condition exists, is it usually the linkage out of adjustment, or a transaxle problem? I'm not sure I want to open up the axle. |

Well...again, you have to define what "no forward" means. If it's not shifting into forward, it could be a linkage problem. If the linkage is fine and it's shifting like it should but still not moving, it may be an internal issue. I've heard that in the second scenario, if you run the cart down a slight incline and then try to jam it into gear, sometimes it breaks loose and works again.

Check to see if the cable is shifting the transmission in the rear.
