Default mid 80's ezgo marathon cart needs more pulling power

I recently had a new clutch and belt put on our mid 80's ezgo cart.
before this was done it had lots of pulling power up hill. Now it wont hardly pull itself up hill.
runs and pulls great on level ground, put will not pull up hill.
its a 2 stroke motor.
any suggestions, as i dont know much about these carts.
From what i can tell when trying to watch it, it looks and sounds like the clutch stops moving forward towards the belt as it starts to pull uphill.

Hello grt27 and welcome to the forum!

First off, which clutch was replaced, the driven(on rearend) or drive (on engine)?

the drive clutch is in charge of torque, the driven clutch is in charge of speed, how about putting the old belt back on and see what that does, may be diffent sizes

I think divots onto somethin... You probably had a shorter belt to start with and now you have a new stock belt..
