@Dave: Not metric, standard 5/8" fine thread, go figure! So the flywheel DID "suck in" just a bit (looks like 1/32" or maybe a hair more) so hopefully that realigned the rotor and pulsar ... Just redid the rest of the wiring up front and the new reg/solenoid/switches/coil/plug and wire are all in place, just gettin ready to check the mail and see if the HEI arrived, yeah, I'm about ready for THIS project to end !!!

Well, I give up (almost) - still no spark or current to the coil EXCEPT I noticed that if I'm holding the coil leads and lean on the cart while turning it over, I complete some sort of circuit and test out at between 6-8v (and of course, get a little shock for my troubles) ...

Gonna try and pull the flywheel and check the pulsar leads, magnets on the rotor, etc (maybe the leads are pinched and shorting, I don't know WHAT to expect anymore)

Does ANYONE know of another trouble spot I could peek at (forward and reverse switches or something?)
