Question 06 TXT-vs-08 RXV (2)

After driving a few more gas carts today, I was very impressed with the 08 RXV gas.
Actually ONE of the 08 RXVs.. One was about as fast as the 06 TXT, but the other 08 was VERY VERY fast ! Same oem tires. Can something be tweeked to the RXV to get that much noticable speed ? Or was something wrong with the other cart..
..All the 08 RXVs have the 401 Kaw engines right ?

Thanks for your input
Cart shopping is much better than car shopping !

Yes the carts can be changed.

On the golf course they are limited to a certain "RPM". For public they raise the "RPM" so you get more speed. Maybe that dealer hasn't raised the "RPM" This is done withe the linkages.

That would explain t he noticeable speed difference.. Is this "adjustment" something one can do fairly easily ?
Thanks.

I believ it is in the linkages. I was talking ot my EZGO buddy one day aobut it b/c he had to slow down the carts at a local course due to one was driven into a tree.

They had a hand held rpm meter and set them at a certain rpm. I dont remember the course rpm and public rpm.

Yes. You can tighten the gov - there is a DIY on here. Just dont go 2 far or you can over rev your engine and do damage.
