Default Quick RPM changes

Just got a G9 and it will run along just fine and all the sudden the RPM drops. It may run like that a few min and then jump back to normal. Any one have a idea whats going on here.

You have to determine if the CVT is shifting or is the engine losing/gaining power to change rpm. For example it could be governed right where the CVT wants to shift full out but not quite. Or it could be fouling a plug or have a valve issue/etc. Or it could be the governor is a little off. I would put a new plug in and make sure the carb is clean, then clean and lube the clutches and look them over for wear. Should have a grease zerk on edge of engine clutch and back side of secondary clutch. Is the belt over 1" wide (in spec). Is air cleaner ok? Then see what you have.

Thanks for the suggestions. I checked all the above and all looks good. Even changed plug and still does it. its strange because your running full speed on flat surface and engine will drop RPM. it may run at like that for 1-2-5 min and then just snap back to full RPM. Its like flipping a switch. Does that better describe my problem. I wondered if its the coil or this thing called an ignitor. It just seems like electrical because it just snaps from one RPM to another.
